Share Your Views: Could Humanity Advancement Be The Work(s) Of Higher Alien(s) Species?

I was reading about crop development, how humans/scientists are trying
their best to improve the crop species.

Then this question struck me, could we have been made advanced by an
Alien specie we can only feel their works.

It makes sense to ask this question because plants are being improved
daily by humans, the plants don't actually know whether we human
exists but they feel our work on them.

It could also make sense that other higher Alien(s) species could be
responsible for our advancement, but we haven't developed the
consciousness to feel their existence but only their works.

There is a possibility!

Humans are improving plants that don't have the consciousness of our
existence, it is also possible that we are being improved by other
higher Alien(s) species that we haven't developed the consciousness of
their existence.

This is just a possibility from one of my assumptions/hypothesis.

What is your take on this?
