Comparing the colonization of Nigeria and the captivity of the Israelites in the Bible
Often many times I see those who call themselves Christians mocking and making jest of our traditional religion worshippers because they claim if the Gods were powerful the British would not have taken over Nigeria and colonized it. 😂 it seems they had forgotten how the children of the Israelites were being made slaves in the land of Egypt as according to the Bible. When you remind them of this they would say the Israelites sinned against Jehovah, now if the one they call the almighty can allow his people to be slaves in a distant land then what more of Gods they see as little? You see? So if the almighty God Christians call Jehovah could abandon his people without being termed weak by the Christians they have no moral justification to term the likes of Sango, Ogun and the other Gods weak.😇
1. Jehovah allowed his people to be sold into slavery but he saved them through Moses, just exactly the way the African/Nigerian Gods allowed Nigerians to be captured but he saved them through the likes of Azikiwe, Awolowo and Co.
2.The israelites faced many challenges after their freedom just the way Nigeria is still facing numerous challenges.
I call on the Christians to see the capture of Nigeria as they see that of the Israelites.
Thanks for reading.
