POEM: Forgotten Souls
They lived in the past
They measured time with sand
They worked for the future
They knew love
Hatred they hate
They drew the skeleton of our world
The maps did they draw
They dropped clues for us
Their works gave us knowledge
They are the reason the world didn't end
A message of hope is what they brought
But do we know them?
They are the forgotten souls
They are dead but their works lives on
We don't know them
But they knew we would need them
We call them ancient men
We called them archaic
But without them nothing would be this way
They have been forgotten
But the skeleton they drew shaped our world
